CEO switch at Omnicom’s DDB worldwide

Omnicom’s DDB Worldwide announced today that Alex Lubar is succeeding Marty O’Halloran as Global CEO of the agency network. O’Halloran will continue as chairman.

The company also said that Glen Lomas, currently CEO, DDB Europe Middle East & Africa, becomes global president and chief operating officer, succeeding Lubar in that role.

Lubar spent 10 years at Interpublic’s McCann prior to joining DDB a year ago.

O’Halloran has been a leader within the DDB network for close to four decades and took over the role of global CEO in 2020. Under his leadership, DDB won 2023 Network of the Year at Cannes, Network of the Year for the past three years at D&AD, and Network of the Year at Effie US and Latina.

“I look forward to working in a Chairman’s capacity with Alex and Glen as they partner in leading the way forward with their global leadership team,” stated O’Halloran.

In addition to DDB branded agencies, the network includes adam&eveDDB (London, Berlin, New York), DM9 and Africa (both in Brazil), alma (Miami), Mango, Track and Rodgers Townsend.

With a staff of about 10,000, network clients include Mars, McDonald’s, Molson Coors, Volkswagen, Reynolds Consumer Products, Peloton, JetBlue, Adidas, Lucozade, Calm, PlayStation, Marmite, Waitrose & Partners, and the U.S. Army, among others.
