Dstv / MIPAN workshop explore data content, platforms for brands, advertiser

“Strong Together : Content and Platform” was the central theme of discuss at the joint  annual workshop organized by DStv Media Sale (DMS) in collaboration with Media Independent Practitioners’ Association of Nigeria (MIPAN).

DStv Media Sales is the sales arm of Multichoice, an award winning and globally acclaimed media buying services company with over 20 years of experience.

 The workshop was centered on data contents and how to provide platforms for brands and advertisers to reach their target consumers.

The event, which held at the Radisson Blu Hotels, Ikeja, Lagos, was witnessed by a huge participants of Integrated Marketing Communications industry stakeholders  including the distinguished presence of the Registrar, Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON), Dr Olalekan Fadolapo and MIPAN President, Femi Adelusi.

Also present at the event was the Chairman, Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON), John Ugbe,  CEO, Multi-choice Nigeria; Fahmeeda Cassim-Surtee, CEO, DStv Media Sales; Nosipho Mabuza, Head Business Enablement, DStv Media Sales; Kholeka Maringa, Head of Sales Africa, DStv Media Sales, and representatives of media buying and planning agencies from across the country.

The essence of the workshop, according to DStv, is to allow advertisers know the right platform to invest capacity and give accurate data which will help make the right advertising investment for brands and advertisers.

Speaking during the workshop, the MIPAN President, Femi Adelusi noted that, for over ten years, MIPAN as a sectoral group had challenged DStv to provide data so as to be able to justify decisions on where to place media budgets. He added that the next challenge is to profile who the numbers are, stating that DStv is capable of taking on the challenge.
