ICAN inducts 1,686 new members

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria has inducted 1686 new members into the institute, bringing the total number of certified members to 57,986 in the country.

The 58th President of ICAN, Mallam Tijani Musa Isa, while speaking at the 70th induction ceremony, held at ICAN Centre, in Lagos recently, addressed the new inductees on the long-term opportunities that exist for members of the institute.

“I am glad that you are all part of this new beginning in the professional lives of the 1686 inductees and seven registered accountants at this event. The inductees figure comprises 28 inductees admitted through the Professional Accounting Organisation route and 1658 admitted through the Professional Examination route.

“We have come to witness the reward of hard work, dedication to a course and an ardent commitment to the extraction of opportunities from challenges. The inductees have demonstrated, in the most sublime way, that the road to success may be full of obstacles, but the end gives satisfaction and fulfilment.
