Jaideep Goel appointed as interim CEO, Allianz Nigeria


The insurers and asset managers company, Allianz Nigeria, has appointed Jaideep Goel as interim chief executive officer of Allianz Nigeria, effective December 1, 2022, subject to regulatory approval and pending the appointment of a new CEO in due course.

According to a statement by the company, he would succeed Ms Adeolu Adewumi-Zer, who resigned as chief executive officer and managing director of Allianz Nigeria.

Allianz reaffirmed its commitment to its investments in the Nigerian market.

It stated, Jaideep was brought on board in 2020, to join Allianz Nigeria with over three decades of experience spanning general insurance operations, underwriting, claims management, sales, and business development.

As an Executive Director, Technical, Jaideep was responsible for enforcing underwriting discipline and loss control that helped to sanitise the books of the company. In his new role, he would also be responsible for leading the sales functions and the business at large, in the interim.

The Regional Chief Executive Officer, Allianz Africa, Delphine Traore, said, “With his exceptional technical qualities and sense of commercial relations, he has the necessary assets to lead the transformation necessary to stimulate even stronger growth of our operational entity in Nigeria.

“We would like to use the opportunity to thank Adeolu and wish her the best in all future endeavours.
