Jaiz Bank named most promising Islamic Bank

Jaiz Bank, Nigeria’s non-interest bank, has been named the Global Most Promising Islamic Bank for 2024 at the Global Islamic Finance Summit held in the Republic of Maldives.

In a statement on Sunday, the Chairman of the Global Islamic Finance Awards, Humayon Dar, praised the bank for its “growth potential, innovation, and strong financial performance.”

“The GIFA committee evaluated several institutions, and after rigorous assessments based on multiple factors, Jaiz Bank Plc emerged as the standout choice,” he stated.

Receiving the award, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Jaiz Bank, Haruna Musa, expressed gratitude on behalf of the organisation, saying the award is a crucial milestone in the bank’s strategic vision.

“This recognition aligns with Jaiz Bank’s goal of becoming one of Africa’s leading non-interest financial institutions within the next five years,” he noted.

Musa also recalled the bank’s previous achievements, including winning the Most Improved Islamic Bank Award in 2020 and 2021.
