Nielsen v. TVision also ends with a stipulated dismissal

For the second time in as many months, Nielsen has resolved a patent infringement suit with an alternative currency provider via a stipulated dismissal of its suit.

Like a similar stipulated dismissal of a patent infringement suit filed against HyphaMetrics, a suit against TVision also has been dismissed on similar grounds that the defendant has agreed to discontinue using the technology patented by Nielsen, executives said.

Nielsen still has other patent infringement suits pending, including a second one against HyphaMetrics and one against Innovid, and while it is unclear how those might resolve, Nielsen execs say the two concurrent stipulated dismissals are a strong indication that it is able to defend its patented technology without settling or going to court.
