The Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund, on Tuesday, said N306,554,896 was paid in the last four months as claims and compensations to its registered employers, employees and their dependents.

The compensations covered Medical Expenses Refund, Loss of Productivity, Disability Benefits to injured employees, Death benefits to next-of-kin of deceased employees and retirement benefits to disabled employees.

The NSITF Managing Director, Michael Akabogu, who disclosed this to labour correspondents during an interactive session in Abuja, said all the fund’s operational activities are in the process of being automated through its ‘e-NSITF’ platform.
