Pernod Ricard introduces new brands

Pernod Ricard Nigeria, a subsidiary of the global wine and spirits giant, Pernod Ricard Group, has introduced three new brands at this year’s Lagos Cocktail Week.

The company listed Absolut Vodka, Olmeca Tequila, and Chivas Regal as its newest offerings at the event held recently in Lagos,’ according to a statement.

The cocktail week featured an introduction of the brands to guests who were invited to participate in a sip-and-paint experience, among others.

A highlight of the event was the Chivas Regal Bar Battle competition which brought mixologists from across the country to display their artistry by blending traditional methods with contemporary flair.

The company disclosed one of the mixologists, Joshua Alabi emerged the winner, receiving a N300,000 cash prize and a Wine and Spirit Education Trust scholarship.

The Marketing Director of Pernod Ricard Nigeria, Evane Chenuet, expressed the company’s enthusiasm in supporting Nigeria’s cocktail culture, saying, “At this year’s Lagos Cocktail Week, we took our consumers on a journey to discover the universe of Absolut Vodka, Olmeca Tequila, and Chivas Regal.

“We are proud to support the cocktail culture in Nigeria by providing education to bartenders and consumers, as well as premium experiences that reflect our consumers’ developing tastes and lifestyles.”

Further, Pernod Ricard restated it is committed to responsible drinking with its ‘Drink More Water’ campaign, an initiative it launched in 2021 aimed at curbing binge drinking among young adults.

Pernod Ricard said it distributed water at the event to promote moderation.
