BET Streetz returns with an exciting new season

…Premiering March 5th across Africa

BET Africa is bringing the streets back to your screens with a brand-new season of BET Streetz, the urban weekly entertainment lifestyle format that takes audiences deep into West African lifestyle, culture, and entertainment. Premiering on March 5th at 20:25 WAT on DStv Channel 129 and GOtv Channel 21, the show promises more culture, more vibes, and an even more immersive exploration of West Africa’s hottest spots and cultural gems.
Returning as the host is multi-award-winning media personality and BET Culture Squad member, Daala Oruwari, popularly known as The Goddess of Skillz. Her magnetic presence and deep connection to the culture made her a fan favourite in the first season, and she is back to take viewers on another journey. “I am beyond excited to be back on BET Streetz! This season is a love letter to West African Culture, and I can’t wait for viewers across Africa to experience the richness of our lifestyle, food, entertainment, and creativity. This season, we’re going even bigger, taking you to some of the most fascinating places and giving you a front-row seat to the pulse of the streets,” says Daala.
BET Streetz is a global content format, with editions also existing in France, the UK, and South Africa, highlighting the show’s widespread impact in capturing the vibrancy of urban culture across different regions.
Speaking ahead of the season’s premiere, Busola Komolafe, Senior Channels Manager at Paramount, said: “BET Streetz is a platform that celebrates and amplifies West African lifestyle, trends, and entertainment on a continental stage. We are excited to bring this fresh and dynamic content to audiences across Africa, offering them an authentic experience of the heartbeat of West African Culture and Entertainment. At BET, we are committed to celebrating Black excellence by spotlighting the stories, culture, and creativity that define our communities.”
Some of the exciting locations Daala will explore this season include Gameland (a gaming hotspot in the heart of Lekki, for both adults and children), Landmark Upside-Down House (the first of its kind in West Africa), J.Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History (a heritage site preserving and celebrating the cultural legacy of the Yoruba people), among others.
Stay tuned for an unforgettable season of culture, vibes, and excitement, and follow @BET_Africa for exclusive updates. Brands and institutions interested in partnering with BET Streetz to showcase culture across the continent can contact @ParamountAfrica on LinkedIn to explore opportunities.
