Pan African entrepreneur, author, and RED | For Africa, CEO Adebola Williams on Monday 7 March, hosted 100 of the most influential African women to a special event to commemorate International Women’s Day in Lagos.
Themed ‘An evening with African Power Girls’, the event also captures the essence of the recently-published ‘African Power Girls,’ which underscores the notion of positivity, diversity, and inspiration among young girls who are faced with inequality, chauvinism, and misogyny. The 3-volume book, written by Adebola Williams, is a compendium of the stories of African heroines, with each page showcasing the strength, freedom, challenges, and victory of spotlighted female legends.
Guests at the event include Dr. Ajoritsedere Awosika, Chairman, Access Bank Plc; Chief Nike Davies-Okundaye, Founder, Nike Arts Gallery; Lerato Molebatsi, Non-Executive Director, Adrian Group, Kenya; Mrs. Toyin Saraki, Founder and President, Wellbeing Foundation Africa; Charlotte Osei, Director, Electoral Institute for Sustainable Democracy in Africa; Joke Silva, Co-Founder, Lufodo Group; Dr. Toye Akindele, Chairman, Platform Capital; Osayi Alile, CEO, Aspire Coronation Trust Foundation; Nkiru Olumide-Ojo, Executive Head, Africa Regions, Marketing and Corporate Communication, Standard Bank Group, South Africa and more.
