Four new members join ASCON ahead of Livingstone conference

The African Supply Chain Confederation (ASCON) continues to expand its continental reach ahead of the 2026 ASCON Conference, welcoming four new member bodies and growing its network of sponsors and partners supporting Africa’s supply chain profession.

With this expansion, this year’s conference, between 23 and 25 September 2026, under the theme “Africa Rising: Converting Strength into Global Supply Chain Impact,” will be held at the Radisson Blu Mosi-Oa-Tunya Livingstone Resort. Following conference sessions, guests will also have an opportunity to visit the Victoria Falls – the smoke that thunders, or, in the Kololo and Lozi languages, Mosi-oa-Tunya.

This spirit of collaboration is also reflected in the growing number of organisations supporting the 2026 ASCON Conference. Sponsors include Belgium Campus iTversity, UXi Private Education, Commerce Edge, CTU Training Solutions, IMM Graduate School, and Smart Procurement, all of which share ASCON’s commitment to strengthening skills development, innovation, and professional excellence across Africa.

Founded through the collaboration of professional bodies from Eswatini, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, ASCON has grown to include four additional member bodies: the African Centre for Supply Chain (Nigeria), the Institute of Procurement and Supply Rwanda (Rwanda), the Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians Board (Tanzania), and the Malawi Institute of Procurement and Supplies (Malawi).

The expansion strengthens ASCON’s vision of a connected African supply chain profession and increases opportunities for professional collaboration, knowledge sharing, and skills development across the continent.

ASCON Goodwill Ambassador and Africa’s first Professor Extraordinaire in Supply Chain Management, Professor Douglas Boateng, says, “The Africa we envision will be built through connected supply chains, stronger partnerships and shared prosperity”.

Boateng adds, “As Africa’s supply chain profession continues to grow, platforms such as the ASCON Conference play an important role in bringing together industry leaders, institutions, and professionals committed to advancing the continent’s future”.

Hosted in partnership with the Zambia Institute of Procurement and Supply (ZIPS), the conference will bring together supply chain leaders, policymakers, executives, academics, and professionals from across Africa members

ASCON has also strengthened travel accessibility through strategic partnerships with Fastjet, the conference’s Official Airline Partner; Ethiopian Airlines, the Official Airline Carrier; South African Airways, an Airline Partner; and Wings Travel, the Official Travel Partner.

Delegate Notice: Delegates and stakeholders are advised that all 2026 ASCON Conference activities will take place at the Radisson Blu Mosi-Oa-Tunya Livingstone Resort in Livingstone, Zambia. Updated conference information and accommodation details are available through official ASCON communication channels.
