Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) has launched Quick Airtime Loan, a digital product that lets customers instantly borrow airtime when their credit runs low.
By dialing **73790#, eligible users can purchase airtime from ₦100 to ₦10,000, with the amount added to their phone balance and the loan repaid from their bank account at a 2.95% fee—far below the typical 15% charged by telecom operators. The service works across all major Nigerian networks and will soon include data bundles.

GTBank’s Managing Director, Miriam Olusanya, said the product meets real customer needs by delivering affordable, on‑demand connectivity. The bank built the solution on its *737# USSD platform, leveraging HabariPay’s Squad payment technology to integrate banking, lending, and payments into one seamless experience.
Analysts view the launch as a continuation of GTBank’s digital‑first strategy, following successes like QuickCredit, and as a step toward a broader, customer‑centric financial ecosystem.
