MTN Nigeria has revealed that its ongoing Mega Billion Promo has produced over 1,500 winners, with more than 290 million naira awarded to date. The company shared this update during a live event on July 19 at its Rooftop Events Centre in Lagos.
Onyinye Ikenna-Emeka, Chief Marketing Officer, MTN Nigeria, emphasized that the Mega Billion Promo aims to reward and give back to loyal customers. “We’ve launched this promo to make our customers’ lives better, especially during tough times,” she said. Ikenna-Emeka highlighted the promo’s success, citing over 1,500 winners, including three jackpot winners, 20 winners of five million naira each, and over 100 winners of one hundred thousand naira each.
The event featured testimonials from some of the winners, including Femi Yusuf, a 10 million naira jackpot winner. Yusuf expressed his surprise and joy, saying, “I feel very happy. Initially, I thought it was one of those promos that nothing comes out of it.” Another winner, Motunrayo, won two million naira during the live event and reacted with gratitude, saying, “Wow! I’m so grateful and I’m so happy to have won this two million naira.”

Debo Agun, Senior Manager, Consumer Segment (Mass Market) at MTN Nigeria, explained the promo’s mechanics. “Customers simply dial *900# to opt-in, and every 100 naira airtime recharge equals one entry,” he said. Agun announced that the promo selects 63 winners daily from Monday to Friday, awarding prizes that range from 25,000 naira to five million naira. On Saturdays, the promo selects 104 winners, with a top prize of 10 million naira.
The promo is managed by independent partners to ensure fairness and credibility. Daily draws are streamed live on social media platforms, and winners are notified via MTN’s Call Center. With more draws ahead, MTN continues to demonstrate transparency and reward participation, reinforcing public trust in the initiative.
