Nielsen has announced the appointment of Akhil Parekh as Chief Solutions Officer for its digital product, a new role aimed at bolstering the media measurement giant’s presence in the advertising ecosystem.
Parekh, previously Executive Vice President-Managing Director at Publicis Groupe, brings extensive experience in data and analytics from various senior roles in the media and advertising industry. He will be responsible for expanding Nielsen’s digital products and enhancements.
Reporting to Nielsen’s Chief Product Officer for Audience Measurement, Deirdre Thomas, Parekh will oversee Nielsen’s planning and ads products teams and manage strategic partnerships.
Before joining Publicis, Parekh held senior positions at Mediaocean, 4C Insights, Rovi Corp., Amp’d Mobile, and ExcelaCom.
