The Project Management Institute (PMI), a global leader in project management, announces the PMI Global Summit Series Africa 2025, happening from August 19-21, 2025, at the Kigali Convention Centre in Rwanda.
This highly anticipated event returns after being postponed in 2024 and promises to be the largest gathering of its kind in Africa while the Summit will bring together key stakeholders to shape the future of project management, fostering collaboration, innovation, and skills development.
This year’s event boasts an expanded agenda, featuring expert-led discussions and enhanced engagement for project professionals. With the theme “Africa On Purpose: Gather. Grow. Guide,” industry leaders, executives, and government representatives will convene to advance project management’s role in Africa’s development.
Rwanda, known for its world-class infrastructure, will host the Summit, which includes thought-provoking keynotes, industry-focused panels, and discussions on AI, digital transformation, and sustainability.
According to George Asamani, Managing Director of PMI Sub-Saharan Africa, “We chose to return to Rwanda because it embodies the values that make project management successful: innovation, resilience, and progress.
We also wanted to fulfill our promise to Rwanda’s project professionals and build on the community’s efforts to organize the PMI Global Summit Series Africa, which has laid a strong foundation for an even more impactful and future-focused event.”
At PMI Global Summit Series Africa, attendees will engage in interactive workshops, masterclasses, and AI-focused sessions to gain practical skills for managing complex projects.
