Sahara Energy closes $225m revolving credit facility, boosts sustainability

Sahara Energy Resource Limited has successfully closed a $225 million unsecured, committed Revolving Credit Facility, underscoring its commitment to operational excellence and robust financial management.

The facility drew significant interest from investors, exceeding subscription targets and demonstrating the international financial community’s confidence in Sahara’s business model and strategic vision.

Nicolas Mignot, Chief Financial Officer of Sahara Energy Resource, expressed his satisfaction with the strong support from both new and existing banking partners, stating, “The oversubscription of this facility is a testament to the strength of our relationships, the resilience of our business model, and the continued trust in Sahara’s growth strategy.”

This new facility enhances Sahara’s financial flexibility, supporting its working capital needs, trade finance activities, and general corporate purposes across its global energy operations. Francois Broussard, Head of Trade Commodity Finance Switzerland at ING Bank, praised Sahara’s platform quality and trusted banking relationships, saying, “We are pleased to have renewed our support to Sahara. This is a testimony to the quality of the platform they have built over the years.”

The transaction marks another significant milestone for Sahara, following the successful closure of its $175 million inaugural RCF in 2024, while the company continues to expand its presence across the global energy value chain, focusing on energy security and environmental sustainability.
