Recognised as a leading figure in the Public Relations industry in particular and the Integrated Marketing Communications industry in general, Odion Aleobua is the CEO of the Modion Communications.
Mr Aleobua easily fits into the group of people about whom Nigerians usually say it is not about how far but how well, having led the agency he leads to international recognition following the setting up of the company in 2015.
Looking at how far he has come in less than two decades of being in the industry is a testament to his drive, brilliance, determination and deft management of people and resources. Today, with experience spanning oil & gas, finance, media, among others, he continues on the march to the future.
Many industry observers would have taken notice when he was awarded the Outstanding PR Personality of the Year in 2018, today, with more awards including the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR)’s Rising PR Practitioner of the Year in 2019 but honours from far and near over the years have validated his standing as a genuine figure in the integrated communications terrain.
His company achieved a three-year winning streak at the SABRE Awards Africa, between 2020 and 2022, recording eight recognitions from seven submissions – four Certificates of Excellence, three Diamond SABRE trophies and one Platinum SABRE. It is worth noting that the Platinum SABRE was the first by a Nigerian agency at the time.
The agency also won the Most Innovative PR Agency in West Africa at the Marketing World Awards in Accra in July 2022 and the Outstanding Oil & Gas PR Agency of the Year at Energy Times Awards in 2025.
