The pursuit of impact, not change

Mary Ephraim – Egbas

The world echoes a constant cry for change, leaving many in quiet despair. But have we ever paused to ask—why? Could God have made an imperfect world so broken that we, mere mortals, must scramble to fix what the Maker Himself did not? A fallen man cannot mend what was never his to create.

Yet, in the stillness, I awaken to a truth as old as time—He never called us to change the world, but to grow it. From the beginning, He gave a charge: Be fruitful. Multiply. Replenish. Fill the earth. Dominate.

He entrusted us with creation, not as fixers of the flawed, but as stewards of potential. To express, create, improve, and take charge—not in pursuit of fleeting change, but in the rhythm of divine transformation. Growth births change, but not the kind that distorts; rather, the kind that refines.

Our mandate is clear: GROW the earth.

To become—fully, wholly, divinely—everything He designed us to be. And in that becoming, we do not seek to change the world; rather, we embody the transformation that shapes it. True impact is not found in striving to fix, but in being—being light, being influence, being the catalyst for a world awakened to its own potential.

Seek not to change the world—seek to be. And in being, you will leave a mark that cannot be erased.
