AB InBev is set to inject $30 million into its US brewery as part of its strategy to boost manufacturing jobs in the country. The world’s top brewer announced the investment, which will support its Jacksonville, Florida brewery and can plant, driving local economic growth and increasing production of its popular Michelob Ultra beer brand.
The investment will upgrade bottling lines and brewing tanks, expanding the Jacksonville brewery’s capacity to produce fast-growing beers like Michelob Ultra. “This investment underscores the rapid growth of Michelob Ultra, now AB InBev’s leading label in the US market,” said Brendan Whitworth, Anheuser-Busch’s US CEO.

Michelob Ultra has overtaken Bud Light as the country’s top-selling beer, following a consumer boycott that impacted Bud Light’s sales. AB InBev CEO Michel Doukeris announced in October that Michelob Ultra had become the industry leader by volume in the US in 2025.
The company has invested over $300 million in US facilities last year and more than $100 million in its Jacksonville facilities since 2021. Additionally, AB InBev plans to buy back a 49.9% stake in its US metal container plants for approximately $3 billion, amidst soaring aluminium costs due to tariffs.
