An internationally respected management consultant, sustainability strategist, and governance expert with more than 25 years of impact across the public, private, and development sectors, Dr. Ini Abimbola’s work spans Management Consulting, Public Policy, ESG & Resource Efficiency, Corporate Governance, Institutional Reform, Stakeholder Engagement, and Strategic Communications—positioning her as one of Africa’s most influential voices in sustainable development and organisational transformation.
A 2008 Draper Hills Fellow on Democracy, Development, and Rule of Law at Stanford University, Dr. Abimbola is a Fellow and Vice-President/Founding Trustee of the Sustainability Professionals Institute of Nigeria (SPIN), and a member of globally recognised bodies including the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (ICRS) and the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).
She is the Founder of ThistlePraxis Consulting Limited, Nigeria’s pioneering sustainability, CSR, and management consulting firm, where she served as Lead Consultant/CEO for nine years. A leading voice in the international sustainability discourse, she curated the Africa CEO Roundtable and Conference on Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility (ARCSR) for eight years, cementing her influence in shaping corporate citizenship across Africa.

Dr. Abimbola’s diverse professional portfolio includes advisory and consulting roles with the African Union, UN Economic Commission for Africa, and various state governments and multinational institutions. Until May 2023, she served as the UN Technical Expert on Women’s Political Leadership supporting the Nigerian House of Representatives.
A lecturer and faculty member of the MBA Program in International CSR Management at the Ferdinand Porsche FernFH University of Applied Sciences in Austria, her early career includes serving as Executive Secretary of WIMBIZ and as the pioneer Executive Director of Defence for Children International, Nigeria.
